How do I place an order?
You can place an order through several convenient channels:
- Online: Browse our collection and add cakes to your cart for checkout with delivery or pickup options.
- Phone: Call us on (08) 7120 3456 during business hours for personalised assistance.
- In-Store: Visit our Adelaide CBD boutique to see our display cakes and order in person.
- Custom Enquiry Form: Use our phone order form for complex orders or wedding consultations.
We recommend ordering at least 3–5 business days in advance for standard cakes, and 2–4 weeks for wedding or heavily customised cakes.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
For individual cakes, there’s no minimum order — you’re welcome to order a single cake. For cupcakes, the minimum order is 6 cupcakes per flavour. For dessert boxes and platters, we have a minimum of 12 pieces.
Corporate and event orders may have different minimums depending on customisation — please contact us for details.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
You can modify or cancel your order up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup date. Since our cakes are made fresh to order, changes within 48 hours may not be possible.
To make changes, please call us directly at (08) 7120 3456 or email info@azidelicious.com.au. Cancellations made within the 48-hour window may incur a 50% cancellation fee as ingredients may already have been purchased.
How far in advance should I order?
We recommend the following lead times:
- Standard cakes: 3–5 business days
- Custom decorated cakes: 7–10 business days
- Wedding cakes: 2–6 weeks (consultation required)
- Cupcakes & dessert boxes: 2–3 business days
- Same-day orders: Subject to availability — call before 9am
During peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas), we recommend ordering 1–2 weeks earlier than usual.
What size cake do I need for my event?
Here’s our serving guide to help you choose the perfect size:
- 6″ Round: 8–10 servings — intimate gatherings
- 8″ Round: 14–18 servings — small celebrations
- 10″ Round: 24–30 servings — medium parties
- 12″ Round: 35–45 servings — large events

Delivery & Pickup
Where do you deliver?
We deliver throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area, including all suburbs within a 40km radius of the CBD. Delivery zones and fees:
- Adelaide CBD & inner suburbs (0–10km): $12 — Free on orders over $150
- Middle suburbs (10–25km): $18
- Outer suburbs (25–40km): $25
- Adelaide Hills & beyond: Custom quote — please enquire
All deliveries are made in our temperature-controlled vehicle to ensure your cake arrives in perfect condition.
What are the delivery time windows?
We offer flexible delivery windows to suit your schedule:
- Morning: 8:00am – 12:00pm
- Afternoon: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Evening: 4:00pm – 7:00pm (weekdays only)
You’ll receive an SMS notification 30 minutes before your driver arrives. If you need a specific time (e.g. before a party starts), please mention it at checkout and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Can I pick up my order in-store?
Absolutely! In-store pickup is free and available from our Adelaide CBD boutique at 42 Rundle Street.
Pickup hours: Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm, Sunday 10am – 3pm. Simply select “Pickup” at checkout and choose your preferred time slot. We’ll have your order ready and beautifully packaged when you arrive.
We provide a complimentary cake carry bag with every pickup order to keep your cake safe on the journey home.
Do you offer same-day or express delivery?
Yes! We offer same-day delivery for orders placed before 9:00am, subject to availability. An express surcharge of $15 applies on top of standard delivery fees.
Same-day orders are limited to our in-stock collection (select flavours and sizes). For custom decorated cakes, express turnaround is 48 hours minimum. Call us at (08) 7120 3456 for urgent requests — we’ll always try our best!
How should I store my cake after receiving it?
For the best taste and texture, follow these guidelines:
- Buttercream cakes: Refrigerate and bring to room temperature 30 minutes before serving
- Fondant cakes: Store in a cool, dry place — avoid refrigeration if possible
- Cupcakes: Consume within 24 hours or store sealed in the fridge for up to 3 days
- Persian Love Cake: Best enjoyed at room temperature — keeps for up to 5 days
All our cakes are made fresh without preservatives, so we recommend enjoying them within 3 days of delivery for optimal freshness.
Ingredients & Dietary
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes! We’re passionate about making beautiful cakes accessible to everyone. We offer:
- Gluten-Free: Full range available — made with premium almond and rice flours
- Dairy-Free: Using coconut cream and plant-based butters
- Vegan: Select flavours available with no animal products
- Nut-Free: Available on request — prepared in a separate section of our kitchen
- Sugar-Free: Sweetened with stevia or monk fruit — please enquire
Important: While we take every precaution, our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, dairy, and eggs. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Are your cakes Halal certified?
While we are not officially Halal-certified, all our cakes are made with Halal-friendly ingredients. We do not use any alcohol, gelatin from non-Halal sources, or lard in any of our recipes. Our vanilla extract is alcohol-free.
If you have specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to ask and we can provide a full ingredient list for your chosen cake.
What makes your ingredients special?
At Azidelicious, we believe in the purity of taste. Every ingredient is carefully sourced:
- 100% natural colours — beetroot, turmeric, butterfly pea, matcha
- Free-range eggs from local South Australian farms
- Real butter — never margarine
- Premium saffron sourced directly from Iran
- Organic rosewater distilled from Damascus roses
- No preservatives or artificial flavours — ever
We source seasonally wherever possible and support local Australian suppliers.
Can I get a full ingredient or allergen list?
Of course. You can request a complete ingredient and allergen list for any cake by contacting us before ordering. Each product page also lists the key allergens present.
Common allergens in our kitchen: gluten, dairy, eggs, tree nuts (pistachios, almonds), soy. If you have a severe allergy, please let us know so we can take additional precautions during preparation.
Custom Cakes
Can I request a fully custom cake design?
Absolutely! Custom cakes are our speciality. The process is simple:
- Step 1: Share your vision — photos, sketches, colour palette, or even just a theme
- Step 2: We’ll create a design concept and provide a detailed quote
- Step 3: Once approved, we bring your dream cake to life
Custom cakes start from $120 depending on size, complexity, and decorations. We can recreate almost any design — from elegant minimalism to elaborate sculpted masterpieces.

Can I add a personalised message to my cake?
Yes! You can add a hand-piped message to any cake at no extra charge (up to 50 characters). Simply type your message during checkout. Longer messages or special calligraphy are available for an additional fee.
We also offer premium acrylic and wooden cake toppers starting from $15, which make a lovely keepsake after the celebration.
Do you offer photo cakes or edible image printing?
Yes! We can print your favourite photo on an edible wafer or icing sheet and apply it to your cake. Simply upload a high-resolution image (minimum 300 DPI) during checkout or send it to us via email.
Edible image printing is available for $12 extra on cakes 8″ and above. For best results, use bright, well-lit photos with good contrast.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Yes! We offer tasting sessions primarily for wedding cake consultations. A tasting box includes 4 flavour samples of your choice for $45, which is credited towards your order if you proceed.
Tastings are by appointment only — book your session here. For non-wedding orders, we’re happy to recommend flavours based on your preferences.
Wedding Cakes
How does the wedding cake process work?
Our wedding cake journey is designed to be as special as your big day:
- Consultation: Free 45-minute session (in-store or video call) to discuss your vision, theme, and preferences
- Tasting: Sample up to 4 flavours — $45 credited to your order
- Design & Quote: We present a detailed proposal with sketches and pricing
- 50% Deposit: Secures your date — balance due 2 weeks before the wedding
- Delivery & Setup: We deliver and professionally set up at your venue
Wedding cakes start from $350 for a 2-tier design, with 3-tier from $550 and elaborate multi-tier designs from $800+.

Yes! All wedding cake orders include complimentary delivery and professional setup at your venue within the Adelaide metro area. We coordinate directly with your venue’s event manager to ensure perfect timing.
For venues outside the metro area (Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills), a travel surcharge may apply — we’ll confirm this during your consultation. We also provide a cake stand and knife hire service from $25.
Do you offer alternatives to traditional wedding cakes?
We love creative alternatives! Popular options include:
- Cupcake towers: Beautiful tiered displays with a small cutting cake on top
- Dessert tables: A curated spread of mini cakes, macarons, truffles, and pastries
- Naked & semi-naked cakes: Rustic, unfrosted tiers decorated with fresh flowers and fruit
- Persian dessert spread: Traditional Iranian sweets with modern presentation
We can mix and match to create a dessert experience that’s uniquely yours.
Payment & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a wide range of payment options for your convenience:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Buy Now Pay Later: Afterpay (orders under $500)
- Bank Transfer: For wedding and large corporate orders
- Cash: Accepted for in-store purchases and pickup orders
All online payments are processed securely via Stripe with bank-level encryption.
Is a deposit required for custom orders?
Yes, custom and wedding cake orders require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your date and begin preparation. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your delivery/pickup date.
Standard online orders are paid in full at checkout. For corporate accounts or large event orders, we can arrange invoicing with NET 14 terms — please contact us to set this up.
What if I’m not happy with my cake?
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If there’s any issue with your order — whether it’s damage during delivery, an incorrect order, or you’re simply not satisfied — please contact us within 24 hours with photos.
Our policy:
- Damaged in transit: Full replacement or refund
- Incorrect order: Full replacement delivered ASAP
- Quality concern: We’ll discuss options including partial or full credit
